Amanda Carol’s Chic Home Office: DIY Heaven!
March 26, 2012 in Chic, Gray, Home office, Hottest Designers
I’m officially in love again. This time with the home office of extremely talented and super sweet interior designer Amanda Carol. Best of all? Her home (and blog) is a treasure trove of DIY inspiration!
*
Amanda went with a color palette of gray, pink and gold for her home office. A healthy dose of white takes the color pops to the max and adds that sharp and clean feel to the room. Those gorgeous gray and white horizontal stripe drapes? Shower curtains!
*
A plain Ikea Malm dresser turns into a superstar with the help of O’verlays and a coat of gold spray paint. The latter is definitely Amanda’s secret weapon in decorating. See the entire transformation here =)
*
That gorgeous mirror has been on my wishlist forever, and after seeing it in Amanda’s home office, I want it even more!
*
Same corner, different styling. I’m loving the yellow! The pair of table lamps is yet another example of Amanda’s DIY skills.
*
This vignette is simply gorgeous, don’t you agree? A stack of books is the perfect way to add height to a vignette.
*
Textures and patterns keeps it interesting. Fabulous fabrics paired with thrift store mirrors and frames. It’s all about balancing…
*
…and details!
*
Every creative girl needs a place to create. Not every girl’s creative corner looks this good though.
*
This breathtaking chair was professionally recovered. How gorgeous is that fabric? And the piping? Perfection!
*
A glass table top is a great way to up-play a beautiful rug. Not to mention amazing table legs like that.
*
And we’re back to the beginning (and a different set of drapes).
*
Inspired yet? If not, jump on over to Amanda’s fantastic blog for more ;-) xox Linda

This is an office I could spend all day (and night!) working in! WOW! It’s so beautiful, and all the DIY projects really make it a special, personal space. I love how Amanda jazzed up the Malm dresser, and the black & white chair in the corner is awesome. Her styling skills are pretty amazing too!

Very nice I have tonnes of documents so I would love to have an office like this but I think an ugly filing cabinet would probably ruin the whole look. I love the use of black, silver and gold it gives it a very Roman chic look.

Hi,
I am trying to spruce up my bathroom and thinking about doing the Greek Key for the window treatments. What I am wondering if is I can do the entire window with Greek key or should it be just trim?
Thanks,
