Eric Cohler’s Fabulous Home in NYSD

One of my favorite reads is the NYSD House section which features the homes of designers, decorators and artists. In the former feature we get a glimpse into interior designer Eric Cohler‘s New York apartment, and I instantly fell in love with his bedroom:
*
The rich gray wall color is contrasted with crisp white and deep black. The simple masculine furnishings are beautifully balanced with colorful feminine art.
*
Recognize the flower print to the right? It’s Andy Warhol’s Flowers of course! It’s not mentioned in his interview, but he does have a real Brillo Box, so I guess it’s authentic.
*
A tiny computer work station on the nightstand. I love how he layers everything! Take a look at the rest of Eric’s home on New York Social Diary, which is accompanied b a great interview, and see what I mean when I say he layers everything ;)

I liked it very much. In boxy NYC apts. painting a wall a different color adds depth. The way he arranges his art is simply amazing. He has such a wide array of styles all mixed together, and I love that the most. Thanks for the link.
