Think Honeysuckle Pink…

June 27, 2011 in Bright, Color Palette, Dining room, Feminine, Pink, Wallpaper / Tiles / Murals

When looking through Horchow yesterday, I came across this beautiful collection; Lilly Pulizer. The fresh color palette of honeysuckle pink, white and yellow sealed the deal, so naturally I’ll be sharing!

This is the way to go if you need more of the color of the year in your life. We all know that pink is created by mixing red with white. Honeysuckle pink however, also contains a fair amount of black in it, or put in other words, it’s red toned down with gray (black+white). The resulting deepness is what makes honeysuckle pink look especially awesome when paired with crisp white, like they did it in this dining room.

Best thing about this dining table is the drawers. Imagine what you could keep in there for super easy access, like napkins, candles and wine bottle opener..

*

The shadowbox molding looks amazing, love the wallpaper too.

*

If I had to choose, the chair on the right would be mine. Which one would you pick?

*

This vanity is amazing. Love the brass inserts.

*

Details, details..

*

Out of curiosity: would you ever paint a room in your home honeysuckle pink? I definitely would =)

UPDATE: Ask on Facebook and you shall receive ;)

Paint color is Benjamin Moore Peony.

  3. This stuff is all so AMAZING! I cant decide what is my favourite. I wouldn’t paint a whole room honeysuckle pink but maybe a feature wall and pair it with white – looks so crisp!

  4. Beautiful! And I would definitely paint a room in my house pink. In fact I did in my last house.

  5. Love Horchow…and love this new furniture line. I am going to copy the pink striped couch and have a pink stripe slipcover made for my living room! Great picks.

  6. Wow that white does look so crisp up against the honeysuckle. The mustard yellow and pink is one of my favorite color combos {I’d pick the chair on the right as well} I would so paint a room pink but I’d have to convince the hubby first!

  7. I would definitely paint a room in my house pink. This stuff is all so AMAZING!

Glossy, look plastic & a bit hard to maintain.

  10. I am not sure I could live with it, but I must say I love love looking at these images they make me smile!!! Big time!! Kathysue

  11. I painted my daughter’s room this color about a month before the color of the year came out. I’m already really sick of it, but I guess I didn’t really love it in the first place. I like it better in accents than on walls. It does look great with white and yellow!

  13. Oooooh, so much eye candy in one post! I don’t know if I’d paint a room in my house Honeysuckle, but it sure looks good in these pictures! Love the dining table with the drawer and the vanity. Tough call between the two chairs – I think I’d pick the one of the left, I like that it’s sort of a modified quatrefoil.

  14. Wow this is beyond pretty, those chairs, that vanity and pink may very possibly be one of my fave colors so I am loving this post!

  15. Absolutely IN LOVE with this room and the color. I made a post about it on my blog :) I am an avid follower and your posts provide me with daily inspiration, so thank you :)

  16. I did !!! and I love It but now I am having a hard time updateing a little girl room to a Sophitisticated french Parisian PAINT IS Ben Moore Pink Corsage DUVET CHARCOAL PIN TUCKED SILK Don’t know what color for euro bedskirt and window do the match or should they all be different. Not sure i should use a color opposite color wheel for window or keep the fabric a monochromatic and create the bed as a focal point.

    any Ideas

    • Hmm, hard to tell only by description. I’d definitely stick to neutral colors on drapery for a sophisticated style, after all you already have enough color on the wall, and you don’t want to play it down by adding another dominant color. You can email me (linda at thelennoxx dot com) a photo if you want a more descriptive opinion ;-)
