Grasscloth + Chartreuse = Design Consensus

Wow, it’s been a crazy week around here, and sadly I haven’t had any time to blog. I’ll try and make up for it this week ;) Now for some inspiratin:
*
This fresh summery living room, designed by Phoebe Howard, has been in my inspiration files forever. I love the chartreuse (green) combined with the grasscloth wallpaper. Apparently, I’m not the only one:
*
This bedroom is designed by John Willey. Since both of these great designers chose this grasscloth/ chartreuse combination, there must be something to it, right?! Anyway, take a look at the green lining of the headboard and the bed skirt. It’s repeated (negatively) on the roman blinds, and I love how the it underlines the shapes, especially of the headboards. What do you think?
*
Did you notice that the rightmost leaf print is identical to the one Phoebe used in her living room design? Some things just go well together, I guess.
*
John painted the back of this adorable built-in shelf green too.

The ceiling is painted in Benjamin Moore Wales Green. The green Island Ikat is available at Quadrille Fabrics, and the brown and green geometric rug can be found at Vanderhurd. So, what do you think, is grasscloth wallcovering and chartreuse a good combination?

I love the Phoebe Howard room! She is one of my favs. And lately I’ve really been loving the idea of two single beds in a guest room, it just makes so much sense! I wish I had the space for that look, maybe in my next home :)

This definitely gives the rooms a spring feeling – so fresh and the grasscloth gives it lots of texture. Great post!

Would you be able to tell me what the grasscloth is in the gorgeous bedroom? I have been trying to pick a grasscloth for my office and I am trying to find one that is fresh and neutral without getting yellowey. I love the grasscloth in the bedroom by John Willey. Thank you for any help.
