This is the amazing work of interior designer Marika Meyer, which she did for the 2012 DC Design House. You have to love show houses!

The room is created around a light and simple color palette of white, beige and green and paysgenerous tribute to mother nature. You might recognize the amazing octopus tea cups, they belong to the dining set “From The Deep“.

From framed insects to oversized clam shells and fish motifs, Marika certainly has an eye for natural beauty. A rustic lantern tops the room off (literally).

The combination of patterns brings the room to life, don’t you agree?
