For the Love of Green!
Green is one of my absolute favorite colors, and in this Lake Forest Showcase House in Illinois, it is all about green. This living room is designed by Lawrence Boeder and is featured in Traditional Home, one of my latest inspiration favorites:
*

Who cares if the weather is bleak when your living room is in bloom like this? I love the combination of different shades of green here, from apple- to olive greens.
*

These green and white giraffe patterned curtains are to die for!
*

The green shag rug totally reminds me of grass, which I’m pretty sure was the intention. If you look very closely, the fabric on the white sofas have flowers on it!
*

The beige wall color has a beautiful yellow undertone, I picked Pantone 7499 C.

Every time I see an interior photo with a person in it the dimensions of things in the room surprises me. Posing at the mantle is the designer of the space himself, Mr. Lawrence Boeder. What surprised me in this photo is the great size of the green vase on the mantel (which is really pretty by the way).

Isn’t the shag rug just awesome…, a patch of grass in the home!

I love the green. I totally get the outdoors in the 3rd image. I didn;t notice the flowers on the fabric at first. And the ceiling, the ceiling…need I say more? I love the whole look.
This living room is SO pretty :-) And yes, those giraffe print curtains ARE to die for!!
