Look what I Managed to Digg Up!

I’ve drooled over this gorgeous living room since I first saw it on Elle Decor, I bet you’ve seen this one more than once before too:

It’s designed by Steven Grambel and I really adore the way he uses pattern in this room. Guess what? I found more images of this room!

These gorgeous photos are shot by Eric Piasecki. I have to say with the extensive use of pattern in the first image, I was a bit surprised when I saw the rest. I was kind of expecting more pattern! I love the green ikat pillow on the blue sofa, and take a look at that fabulous coffee table! Due to the width of the room the distance between the striped armchairs and the coffee table is substantially large, something Stephen Grambel solved by adding a sidetable between the two chairs.

I love home bars, in any shape and form. The sidetable mini bar is a definite favorite though. From the reflection in the mirror it looks to be an identical mirror on the adjacent wall and the lamp on the mantel is definitely the same as in the “main picture”. Could this be a symmetrical room with two fireplaces?

Well yes it is! Here’s the opposite side of the room. Same coffee table, reversed sofa/armchair orientation.

So what do you think about this room? Love or hate?

  1. I love, love, love the colors and the furnitures!

  2. I love the carpet, the paint colour, the mirrors, the bar, the curtains, the fireplace! Is that enough??

  3. You had me at turquoise walls. May have just considerably fattened my desktop “turquoise folder” – and haven’t we all got one!?

  4. Love it… it’s beautiful!

  5. I’ve never seen this room before. Love the tufted sofa and the coffee table and the carpet. And the crown moulding & tall windows are fabulous!! Love the wall colour too :-) Funny, I just read a post a minute ago by someone who said she wouldn’t be able to live with turquoise walls for long because they’re too lovely. But I think the turquoise walls in this room are actually quite serene and made a great backdrop for the furniture & accessories in the room.

  9. The drapes are cool!
