Deep blue walls paired with lots and lots of shiny white is one of my favorite color schemes. These rooms have such a traditional look, but they all have elements that adds a contemporary edge. In the room above, silver details adds to the cool color palette while the bright orange details adds lots of warmth. The chevron rug doesn’t hurt either =)
JOCELYN WARNER SILVER BLUE WALLCOVERING photo used with permission
Well hello there! I just have to share this breathtaking wallpaper I came across a few days ago. It’s called Wisteria and is designed by Londoner Jocelyn Warner. What do you think? Ahh-mazing or what??!

JOCELYN WARNER / WINDSOR SMITH
Bet you all remember this silver and indigo room designed by Windsor Smith. I can’t get this room out of my mind, and I know a lot of you love this room too. The Silver and Blue Wisteria wallpaper strikes me as the perfect base for achieving a similar look. This is where you wish you had more walls, right? I know I do. The Wisteria wallpaper comes in 5 colorways, you can see them all at Jocelyn Warner’s Website ;-) Have a lovely evening! xox Linda
Liz Lange’s NY house is a light and bright delight (Okay, I’ll stop) in the signature style of Jonathan Adler. There’s so many elements to love in this living room, I’m especially enamored with the black doors and window frames.
This picture had me at hello. Love how they painted the walls, bookshelf and window frames in a high gloss rich blue color. Orange always works well with blue, they aren’t complimentary colors for nothing =)
ASHLEY WHITTAKER via THE GLAM LAMB
This beauty is one of my all-time favorite vignettes, and a long-time resident of my inspiration folder. It’s a simple symmetric vignette, but the simplicity is part of the beauty in my opinion. When every item is perfection, a simple vignette will only look well edited, right? Apart from the obvious (greek key console and gray zebra ottoman) it’s the wonderful color combination of the cobalt blue artwork and the apple green lamps that sucks me in. I’m going to create a few new vignettes in my home, so I surfed the interwebs trying to find a few pieces that would create the same appeal (while costing as little as possible of course). Here’s what I ended up with:

GREEN CERAMIC LAMPS / OCEAN ART PRINT / CONSOLE TABLE / ZEBRA OTTOMAN / CLAM SHELL
Total price: $792.
I’m totally crushing on that ocean art print! I think it will be mine ;-)
I also made two discoveries today, namely that a greek key console table like the one Ashely used in her vignette, would cost more than twice as much ($1775 to be exact) as the entire vignette I slapped together. The other thing I discovered is that it’s impossible to get a hold of an ottoman upholstered in gray zebra fabric.
Also, I wish we could refer to more than one ottoman as ottomen… Enjoy the rest of your day! xox Linda

I’m loving this style right now. The style is kind of “nautical”, but not quite. The colors and textures are there, but none of the typical nautical motifs. Here’s a few of my favorite rooms designed in similar style; but first:
