To decorate a nursery, you don’t necessarily need to use the Toys ‘R’ us color scheme. Baby’s do love colors, but there are ways to design a more harmonic room, without loosing color variety.
Baby Boy:

White, green, beige and blue. The paper globe lamps in various hues of blue and green are a great idea, and they contrast really well with the colorful rectangles painted on the wall. Notice the cute details on the ceiling fan!
Neutral sex:

A soft yellow and white. If you don’t know the sex of the baby, old tradition is to go with yellow. You might as well go with another sex-neutral color like beige.
Baby Girl:

Powder blue, yellow and pink. This is a great idea, using both boy and girl color together with the neutral yellow.
Bonus: Baby Boy

Powder blue and white. Simple and modern with clean lines and a funky lamp.
There seems to be a lot of fans of the nautical style interior, and why not, when it reminds about breeze flowing trough your hair and the seagulls laughing… at you, and then pooping in your hair.. LOL!!

Navy blue, white and sometimes red, or beige and dark wood. stripes, sea stars, sea shells, anchors, seagulls, lifesavers, sail boats, rope knots and old boating artifacts. These are the things that comes to mind when I think of nautical interior. Ohh, I forgot the little round windows, and compasses. Just don’t overdo it, or it’ll look childish, no? First pic is from this site.
Check out this dining area of powder blue, indigo and soft green!

Would you ever consider this color combination for your home?
