This room that I came across on Redbook Is very well styled for Fall:

Lot’s of soft pillows and a warm zig zag throw to snuggle up in. Can you believe those lovely curtains are from Ikea? The photo is credited to Eric Piasecki, he’s the same photographer that shot the gorgeous blue living room in my previous post “Look what I managed to dig up“. If you take a tour of Eric’s portfolio you’ll surely recognize some Pottery Barn images as well. Yes, he’s one of the geniuses behind the PB Catalog!

Kathleen Hay’s Coastal Designs

Just came across designer Kathleen Hay and I’m already hooked! Kathleen creates the most beautiful spaces with a lot of reference to nature.

I’m starting to realize I have a slight obsession with seashell print fabrics. The color of the accent pillow is totally inspired by the seashell prints on the wall, and I can’t help but think about Maya at Completely Coastal, she picked her wall color right from her favorite shell. So creative =)

Back to Kathleen.. there’s just something about a blue and green color palette like this.. it always makes me think of grass and the sky.. Kathleen’s portfolio is chock full of gorgeous photos, and they are really high res too, so you get to see all the beautiful textures she combines in her work. I urge you to take a look!

Simple, light, airy and coastal.. what a beautiful living room. I love how the circles break up the clean lines and squares in this room.

Sage Green Bed and Bath

Master bedroom and bath designed by San Francisco based firm Coddington Design:

This sage green and white bedroom is set on a sisal type carpet. Isn’t it amazing how sisal goes with virtually any design style? The Coddington girls placed a desk at one side of the bed doubling as nightstand/workspace. Great idea when space is an issue.

I’ve never been too fond of tafetta or shiny fabrics in general, but I’m loving the layered fabric look. Very warm and cozy indeed.

This sink console looks to be custom made for this bathroom. Simple, functional and pretty.

Basket weave floor tiles combined with white subway tiles and white marble base. Looks so much better than it sounds haha!

PS: I was going to post some pics of my piano stool transformation, but my cam is defunct. Blurry pics = no fun. Is that a good excuse for getting a new camera or what? =)

Color Palette Insight

I’ve been in love with this chic green and purple bedroom for the longest time, so it’s high time I did a color palette for it. The fun thing about these color palettes is the way it can completely change your view of the color scheme of the room in question. Out of all color palettes I’ve constructed for theLENNOXX, this one has me the most amazed, because I’m now seeing a lot of colors I didn’t even notice before. Oh, and the bedroom is designed by the amazing Amanda Nisbet:

To me this bedroom has been a neutral greige room with pops of green and purple. I never noticed the warm pinkish color of the walls, the sage green ceiling or the deep purple line under the crown molding. Did you? How about the pink details?

Wall paint color in the first image corresponds to BM Pampas Grass, the color of the ceiling (4th color from the left) is BM Walpamur.

In this image the wall color looks completely different, more offwhite than pink gray. The key to this look is the black picture frames and headboard. See how it is picked up in the purple line on the wall and on the dark green lining of the bedsheets? Love it!
