It is not often you see designers use more than one primary color in a room. I like to think it’s bacause it is hard to avoid the “lego” atmosphere when combining red, blue and yellow. All the more impressing when you see it as perfectly done as in this living room. It’s the work of Michael Penney.

Have you noticed the tie-dye trend lately? It’s everywhere from dresses, bikinis, shirts and pants, so it’s no surprise it has made it’s way into the world of decor as well. Here’s the teen room version of the current tie-dye trend. It’s bright and colorful, in other words perfect for summer!

Same bedding in a different setting. I love how the color burst brings all the attention to the bed. Bedding above is available at JCPenny.

Here’s Pottery Barn Teen‘s version of the tie-dye teen bedding. I love the fresh color palette and the coastal elements in this room.
*
This tie-dyed bedding comes in two color options, both of which are bright and happy colors!

Of course tie-dye isn’t just for girls. Here are two options for the teen boy’s bedroom, available at Pottery Barn Teen.

I’ve always been fascinated with tie-dye, it must be the pattern. I’d love to know what you think of tie-dye, so please leave your vote below =)
This bedroom was love at first sight for me. Neutral backdrop? Check! Pops of color? Check! Gorgeous patterns? Checkity-check! And it’s all designed by Jonathan Adler of course!

If you hadn’t noticed, I’ve posted a link to an anonymous online survey at the top of my right sidebar. I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to answer my short list of questions =) One of your requests was to see more teen bedrooms, and since your wish is my command, lets kick it of with this amazing teen girls bedroom designed by Amanda Nisbet:

It’s a colorful treat on a white backdrop. The room is set on a brown and pink striped carpet. I wonder if this West Elm daybed doubles as a bed, or if there is another bed in this teen room? The yellow sidetable is called Trollsta and is from at Ikea, while the silver pouf is available at the Cross Design.

The color palette is defined by this fun collection of accent pillows.
*
And for good measure, here is a breakdown of the color palette for you ;)
*
Amanda chose this fabulous Mason Wood Top Desk and combined it with the Surf Office Chair and interesting Bracket Shelves. Chrome and white is the red line here. Notice how the colors of the room are represented in the details.

This beautiful white dresser has all a girl needs for getting ready; a large mirror, some great lighting and of course a bright yellow jewelry box.

Happy Monday friends!
One of the hottest trends on the coffee table front is the brass variety. I’m sure most of you have already seen this gorgeous living room posted in D Magazine this summer:
*

This chic all white living room with pops of fresh green and pink is heavily accented with brass. The room is designed by the one and only Jan Showers. As for the spectacular brass coffee table? It’s one of Jan’s own designs of course!
*

The table is called Sabine and is available from Jan Showers Collection.
*

Here’s the Sabine table in one of Jan’s other designs.
*

Gorgeous room, wouldn’t you agree? This coffee table becomes the focal point of any room.
