Botanical Chic by Lauren Liess

July 13, 2011 in Bedroom, Beige, Exotic, Home office, Hottest Designers, Natural

On my daily surf for new design inspirations, I came across the portfolio of the beautiful and talented Lauren Liess. The second I saw the photo above, I remembered seeing it (and drooling a little on my keyboard) on the 2011 DC Design House. A click away from her professional website, I discovered her blog Pure Style Home, and I’m already hooked!

*

I’m seriously in love with everything in this room. The painting? Swoon! And that alligator desk? Yes please! (I suddenly feel the need to cover some sort of furniture with faux alligator fabric =)

*

I adore Lauren’s use of green and all the botanical elements in this room. How do you feel, do you like to bring nature into your home, or do you prefer to see it from your window?

*

You would never believe what this room looked like before Lauren used her magic on it. You HAVE  TO CLICK HERE to see it!

*

Gorgeous compilation of natural patterns.

*

This fern Pottery Barn bedding would fit right in if it was a bedroom, no?

*

The funtastic  fabrics Lauren used in this room are actually from her upcoming fabric line,  which will be available in her web shop in April (from what I could tell). And would you believe what she named the curtain fabric? “Happikat”, and I love it! PS: Anyone know where I can get that amazing lantern?

You know when you stumble across some place with endless amounts of eye candy? Well, this was definitely the case with the portfolio of  Muse Interiors.

I never tire of a beautiful traditional living room. The soft color palette of gray, blue and white is perfectly accented with colorful bouquets of flowers throughout.

*

I’m always inspired by a great tablescape, are you?

*

A closer look at the pretty flowers.

A good reading area is always a hit in my book. Those chairs and that table is amazing.

*

Such a pretty combination of fabrics in this room, don’t you think?

*

A closer look at the gorgeous side table.

Amazing blue bedroom. So soft and pretty, and I love the mirrored dresser. The headboard is pretty amazing too!

Traditional Luxury: A Beautiful Bedroom

June 26, 2011 in Bedroom, Beige, Classic, Gray

A beautiful gray and beige bedroom courtesy of Horchow. Now this is what I call an inviting bed!

*

Layers and layers of gorgeous bedding. And what do you think about that headboard? Tufted with mirror details? Swoon!

*

Loving the bedside table decor here, fresh cut roses are always a welcome feature in any room.

Another Arkansas Beauty

June 15, 2011 in Bedroom, Classic, Color Palette, Feminine, Gray, Greige, Hottest Designers

AT HOME ARKANSAS

Here’s another beauty of a bedroom, courtesy of At Home Arkansas. It’s the bedroom of Interior Designer Cynthia Smiley. Notice how Cynthia uses textures to perfection. I also love how effortlessly she mixes styles in this room, just look at the Gustavian benches, the sleek modern bed frame, and the coastal elements and rattan bedside tables. The result is luxurious but far from pretentious.

*

According to At Home Arkansas, the paint color is Benjamin Moore Coastal Fog. To achieve this look, go for light colored fabrics in white, cream, beiges and grays. Pay extra attention to textures, and add a touch a color with toned down hues of peach, green and blue.

AT HOME ARKANSAS

This beautiful bouquet of peach colored roses finishes of one of the bedside tables perfectly. The other one is topped with an equally pretty white coral.

This silver leafed dresser is decorated to perfection. The power of a perfect vignette is undeniable. Another closeup just because it’s so pretty. To read the article and view the source list, visit At Home Arkansas! Hope you enjoyed this room ;)
