DIANE BERGERON INTERIORS

Deep blue walls paired with lots and lots of shiny white is one of my favorite color schemes. These rooms have such a traditional look, but they all have elements that adds a contemporary edge. In the room above, silver details adds to the cool color palette while the bright orange details adds lots of warmth. The chevron rug doesn’t hurt either =)

After writing this post I was told in the comments that the owner of this home, Victoria Webster had replaced the yellow wallpaper in her gorgeous living room. I was so curious to see it, and thanks to a wonderful reader with a scanner, we get to see the new walls!

This pretty sunroom is designed by Lee Ann Thornton of  Thornton Designs. The light happy colors makes me yearn for spring. BTW I love the skirted table there ;)

I couldn’t help but notice the emerging trend of the fitted tablecloth, or skirt as I prefer to call it. My favorite style is the ones that involve a glass top, it looks so elegant! The room above is designed by Lori Dennis, you can see more of this home in this previous post =)

This is the image that sparked my interest in the fitted table skirt. It is from Pottery Barn of course. I just love the chocolate color of this tablecloth. Yum!

*

A closer look. The top looks to be plexiglas?

*

Wisteria is also on the fitted table skirt bandwagon. Doesn’t it look great in this beautiful gray and blue bedroom?

*

The all-purpose table, Linen table skirt and beveled glass top are sold separate, but they sure look great together.

*

The best thing about the fitted table skirt? It doesn’t matter what the table underneath looks like!

*

Phoebe Howard uses the fitted table skirt in this beautiful traditional hallway.

*

This glamorous vanity featured in Country Living is also “wearing ” a beautiful skirt.

*

Jan Showers frequently uses the fitted table skirt in her wonderful designs too.

*

This ad for Black & Spiro Interior Design proves that the fitted table skirt suits all styles. I love it!

*

So what’s your opinion of the fitted table skirt? Love or hate? Or undecided maybe?

I think I’m in love with this bedroom. It’s designed by Samantha Pynn of Pure Design on HGTV, and photographed by Virginia McDonald.

*

The color palette is so simple and calm, perfect for a bedroom.

*

In keeping of the color palette of the bedroom, this living room is equally soft and pretty. Blue horizontal stripes adds unexpected fun to this room. I love it!

*

I love how Samantha pairs traditional dining chairs with a simple high gloss dining table. It’s the way you mix and match that makes a room interesting.

The living room as seen from the dining room. See the entryway to the right? Let’s take a closer look:

A fabulous diamond patten wallpaper makes a bold statement in here.
