Terracotta walls, leopard area rug on chevron floors, white tufted leather sofa and snake art. Could we expect less fabulousness from Choo mogul (lame pun very much intended ;-) Tamara Mellon?
TRADITIONAL HOME / MABLEY HANDLER
What a perfect day for happy colors! This amazing space was part of the 2010 Hamptons Designer Showhouse, designed by the lovely Jennifer Mabley and Austin Handler of Mabley Handler Interior Design.
My love affair with orange continues, and this bedroom does nothing to help the situation. Orange and blue has always been one of my (many) favorite color combinations, and I love how Jonathan used chocolate brown on the walls. For such a strong palette which includes orange and brown, I don’t think this bedroom looks right out of the 70′s. At least not as much as one would expect from Jonathan Adler ;)

This bedroom was love at first sight for me. Neutral backdrop? Check! Pops of color? Check! Gorgeous patterns? Checkity-check! And it’s all designed by Jonathan Adler of course!

In honor of Pantone’s color of the year; Honeysuckle Pink, It’s about time to feature this fabulous home. It is designed by Jeffers Design Group. I love looking at his portfolio, all his designs are so colorful and happy!
*
The walls in this bedroom are actually decorated with pink and orange ribbons, held in place with pin needles. Remember the tablecloth decorated with ribbon? A bit of imagination apparently goes a long way.
*
I just love the color combination of pink and orange, anyone feel the same way?
*
Not much pink in the dining room, but those chairs are pretty cute?
*
Wohoo, pink coffee table!
*
Love the chairs and the brass tassel glass top coffee table!
*
I assume we will be seeing a lot more of Honeysuckle Pink this year, and I can’t wait! So what do you think about Pantone’s color choice? Love it or hate it?

The thing that really strikes me with this room is the surprising mix of classic beauty with 70′s crazyness!
*

Take this detail image of the bed for example. The canopy is a classic, while the aqua thread wallpaper is flat out retro.
*

My parents used to have the exact same wallpaper, and my cat used it as a scratch board… Blue threads were sticking out all over, lol!
*

Blue and yellow window seat in the same bedroom. White valances for pretty, gray blinds for effect!
*

Colorful floral wallpaper adorns this mini bathroom.
