Currently Inspired By: Floral Fabrics

I was first introduced to Fiona Douglas‘ work on Design Sponge in January, and after reading the latest issue of Adore Home, I am officially in love with her flower fabrics.

The color palette of Fiona’s living room is so fresh and lovely. The paint color corresponds to Benjamin Moore’s Blueberry Hill. Such a deep and fresh shade of blue.

Fiona even displays her beautiful floral fabric as artwork!

I’m dreaming of topping of my soon to be completed sofa with one of these babies. The blue one on the left is on sale right now ;)

Fiona’s bedroom is a summer bliss, layered with her beautiful flower fabrics everywhere.

Classic Luxury: Mint Green

Time for some classic design inspiration. With all the color going on lately, this feels like a much needed break (no offense to bright pretty colors, we still love you). This particularly beautiful home is designed by Alexandra Rae.

The star of this dining room, with the calm minty color at a close second, is the amazing chandelier.

The marble fireplace ain’t too shabby either.

*

Paint color matches BM Dried Parsley. The fun thing about color is that it never stops to amaze; it looks sooo much more minty in the photo!

A beautiful beige and mint green bedroom. The glass table lamps and the mirrored chests adds a bit of glamour, wouldn’t you say?

*

Upon closer inspection, you can see that she added some subtle touches of yellow too.

*

The master bathroom is yet another shade of mint, a fresher cleaner one at that. Love the way Alexandra paired it with pink here.

Paint color is BM Cucumber.

Blue and Red Bedroom: Get the Look!

This Beautiful bedroom is designed by Jerry Jacobs. Doesn’t that headboard look spectacular with the deep blue wall color?

Great design for a guest bedroom or a teen boy bedroom.

THE Chic Home Office

Raise your hand if you haven’t seen this home office before. I’m guessing there aren’t a lot of hands in the air. Then you probably also know that this is Designer Mary McDonald‘s private home office. The feature wall is hand painted by Artist Jefferson Miles, and the classic black and white fashion photos include framed tear-outs from magazines.

Get the look with this gorgeous chinoiserie wallpaper by Sarah Hardaker. As the name implies, this wallpaper has a grand pattern, I’d love to see this one on a wall. The best thing about it is that you can order the wallpaper with any color you’d like, so as to match your wall color, for no extra cost! I never knew that was possible anywhere.
