It’s always a treat to see a black room, and even better when it looks like this one. The crisp white sofa makes a wonderful clean contrast against the matte black walls, and the sleek glossy coffee table adds to the clean, slightly masculine feel.

I just adore this photo of fashion stylist and TV personality Rachel Zoe lounging in her her gorgeous sparkly dress. If I were to translate this photo into a room, It would be this one:

Grasscloth wallpaper, pops of sunny yellow, interesting patterns and a little bling on the glassware. I adore this room, it’s so… happy?! Do you like it?

When it comes to design, I tend to lean towards the classics. And that’s where Restoration Hardware comes into the picture.  “They” have this way of twisting the classics into something new.. and still manages to keep the classic part of it. If you know what I mean? Case in point: the tufted sofa.

But what really caught my eye were these spectacular birdcage chandeliers! Caged pendants and lanterns are nothing new, but actual crystal chandeliers? Amazing! They come in 5 different sizes. I’d have to sell my car to be able to afford the XS one ;-)

Have you noticed RH’s approach to design? It’s all about scale. Super size,  symmetry, and the power of many. All done in a neutral color palette with interesting textures and finishes. And I love it!

Last thing to catch my eye was the gorgeous artwork. They are original drawings.

It’s Friday.. let’s just pretend :-) Have a great Weekend!

JAN SHOWERS

I just love this golden bedroom designed by Jan Showers. Isn’t it warm and cozy? Layers and layers of fabric and beautiful details like nailhead trim and glass tops makes this bedroom look so luxurious.

Color palette for this room: Benjamin Moore Mysic Gold. Combine beiges, camels, browns and champagne, just make sure they all have a yellow undertone =) A hint of black ads depth and drama, while shiny gold adds the perfect touch of luxury.

KELLY PROXMIRE

A clean color palette of brown and white is a sure hit if you are aiming for a elegant and sophisticated look in your home. The point is proven in this beautiful living room designed by Kelly Proxmire.

With such a simple color palette, the details are all the more important. White molding creates depth not only on the ceiling, but also on furniture and doors. Notice how Kelly combines damask fabrics with chevron and dots in the next photo:

The deep rich paint color is such a wonderful backdrop for curvy white furniture like this, don’t you think? I really see the gorgeous details in the ceiling as the icing on the cake. Such a delightful detail.

Remember I posted this beautiful bedroom earlier?

It’s designed by Libby Interiors. The reason I’m re-posting it is because I recently fond out where that beautiful lamp is from:

*

It WAS available at CSN Stores, but when I got back to look it up I got the “product is currently unavailable”. Who knows, it’s a gorgeous lamp, maybe they are just all out ;) Here’s the listing anyways if you want to contact CSN about it. Here are a few more curvy lamps:

Number two was part of my earlier post on Horchow, but Circa Lighting offers it about $100 cheaper. Interior designer Eric Cohler designed all but the first one of these. Remember Eric? I featured his bedroom a while ago, click here to see it =)

I just love this one, it’s so… alive? Available at Neenas.
