SUMMER HOUSE STYLE

If I could move right in to a furniture shop, SummerHouse Style would be my top pick. Not only is the furnishings and decor items mouthwatering, but the styling is incredible and Lisa Palmer and her crew are genuine sweethearts! Keep reading for more inspiration from my new home favorite store:

HELT ENKELT…

As I completely missed the Halloween train this year, I’ll try to make it up with some pretty fall decor. Let’s start with the photo above, isn’t the color palette of green and brown just lovely? You can see more lovely fall decor photos on Anna Malin’s blog Helt Enkelt.

THERESE JACINTO DESIGN

Designer Therese Jacinto created this beautiful green and brown fall centerpiece. I would never have thought of combing succulents and pine cones, but when I see this, it makes so much sense. The shapes are so similar?!

ROBIN CHARLOTTE

Hi Friends! Have you all had a good weekend? I just came across the wonderful Etsy Shop of Robin Charlotte, and felt obliged to share the eye candy. The shop as described in the words of the seller: “recycled taxidermy jewelry and air plant terrariums”. The taxidermy part refers to sea life and insects collected from nature; no murdering involved ;)

ROBIN CHARLOTTE

Adorable “treasure boxes” made from shells with brass hinges.

ROBIN CHARLOTTE

These necklaces are so unique. They are butterfly wings and parrot feathers in horn shaped vials. Super cute!

ROBIN CHARLOTTE

And lastly we have these adorable air plants, or shall we say pineapples?

Each plant comes with a tiny little starfish. So cute. I want everything in this shop!

When it comes to design, I tend to lean towards the classics. And that’s where Restoration Hardware comes into the picture.  “They” have this way of twisting the classics into something new.. and still manages to keep the classic part of it. If you know what I mean? Case in point: the tufted sofa.

But what really caught my eye were these spectacular birdcage chandeliers! Caged pendants and lanterns are nothing new, but actual crystal chandeliers? Amazing! They come in 5 different sizes. I’d have to sell my car to be able to afford the XS one ;-)

*

Have you noticed RH’s approach to design? It’s all about scale. Super size,  symmetry, and the power of many. All done in a neutral color palette with interesting textures and finishes. And I love it!

*

Last thing to catch my eye was the gorgeous artwork. They are original drawings.

It’s Friday.. let’s just pretend :-) Have a great Weekend!
