HOUSE BEAUTIFUL

Liz Lange’s NY house is a light and bright delight (Okay, I’ll stop) in the signature style of Jonathan Adler. There’s so many elements to love in this living room, I’m especially enamored with the black doors and window frames.

Amazing Living room: Beige, Blue and Turquoise!

LYNN MORGAN DESIGN

Well hi there! I’m super excited to share this gorgeous living room today. It’s the work of Lynn Morgan, and great work it certainly is! Starting with a neutral palette of beige and white, Lynn created an oasis of lovely blues and turquoise – and all tones, tints and shades in between. To tie the fresh accent colors to the neutral background, Lynn opted for floral and leaf print fabrics, representing both color extremes.

Viewed from this angle you can see how much depth this color combination of blues and turquoise, creates. Very visually pleasing and interesting, but calm and relaxed at the same time.

Lynn’s attention to details makes all the difference. See the shelving unit with the blue painted back? Scroll back to the former photo and see how it brightens up that corner of the room.

The sunroom showcases how wonderfully well the rich blue color works as a neutral on furniture, when paired with light and bright colors. Did you notice the same blue color was used on all the side tables in the living room? I simply love it! Do you?

Hello! Gray and Yellow

January 14, 2011 in Classic, Color Palette, Gray, Hottest Designers, Living room, Luxurious

I came across this gorgeous gray and yellow living room on Houzz, a great website to find interior designers and inspiration. This room is designed by Jennifer Brouwer, gorgeous isn’t it? I was actually wondering if it was possible to combine grays and beiges into a harmonic result, and Jennifer proves that the answer is definitely yes!

Paint color is something like BM Shadow Gray. Remember to use a lot of white to valance a bright color like yellow, like I’ve mentioned before ;)

Table lamp, paisley pillow fabric, yellow pillow, white jars, yellow jar, console table, sheep skin.

Here are some items you’ll need to get this look. I’m pretty sure Jennifer used a coffee table previously carried by Z gallerie, too bad it’s no longer available. Happy Friday Friends!
