This coffee table holds approximately 280 votives (I counted one petal and added up =). Pretty unique table decor, don’t you think? I love it! xox Linda

It’s always a treat to see a black room, and even better when it looks like this one. The crisp white sofa makes a wonderful clean contrast against the matte black walls, and the sleek glossy coffee table adds to the clean, slightly masculine feel.

Once I came across this image I recalled seeing it in online magazine Lonny. The Designer behind this sophisticated masculine apartment is Ron Marvin:

A deep gray color tone sets a cozy but clean backdrop for this living room. The orange accent color is most definitely chosen to pick up the color in the red woods and and leathers throughout the home.

I wouldn’t think of a coffee table vignette as typically masculine, but this one definitely is. Books with interesting book covers and smoky gray hurricanes are perfectly placed on a wooden tray. Using an organic decor element like a sea star or an interesting spiked ball like above, as a “paper weight” is a very popular decor element right now (as if you hadn’t noticed ;)

The bedroom is dramatic with matte charcoal gray walls. In stead of a tall headboard, Ron opted for a large mirror behind the bed. A great choice to reflect the natural light from the windows. On another note, where is Patrick Cline, the photographer?? haha!

This vignette on a dresser is located at the opposite end of the bed (as you can see in the mirror above it). I think the leather suitcase handles are the perfect touch. What do you think?

A neat home office with seagrass wallpaper. For some reason this type of wallcovering goes perfectly with black, take a look at this previous post to see what I mean. According to Nancy Marcus who wrote a great post on chic desks, this one can be found at William Sonoma Home.
