Think Honeysuckle Pink…

June 27, 2011 in Bright, Color Palette, Dining room, Feminine, Pink, Wallpaper / Tiles / Murals

When looking through Horchow yesterday, I came across this beautiful collection; Lilly Pulizer. The fresh color palette of honeysuckle pink, white and yellow sealed the deal, so naturally I’ll be sharing!

This is the way to go if you need more of the color of the year in your life. We all know that pink is created by mixing red with white. Honeysuckle pink however, also contains a fair amount of black in it, or put in other words, it’s red toned down with gray (black+white). The resulting deepness is what makes honeysuckle pink look especially awesome when paired with crisp white, like they did it in this dining room.

Best thing about this dining table is the drawers. Imagine what you could keep in there for super easy access, like napkins, candles and wine bottle opener..

*

The shadowbox molding looks amazing, love the wallpaper too.

*

If I had to choose, the chair on the right would be mine. Which one would you pick?

*

This vanity is amazing. Love the brass inserts.

*

Details, details..

*

Out of curiosity: would you ever paint a room in your home honeysuckle pink? I definitely would =)

UPDATE: Ask on Facebook and you shall receive ;)

Paint color is Benjamin Moore Peony.

One Room, Two Looks: by Samantha Pynn

May 31, 2011 in Bright, Dining room, Feminine, Home office, Hottest Designers, Living room, Soft and Light, White

I must profess my love for Style at Home, they always feature the most beautiful rooms and interesting articles. This particular one called “One room, two styles” is styled by Samantha Pynn, who’s style I also happen to adore (and I know a lot of you do too), lets take a look at some of them:

*

This pretty dining space was turned into a makeshift home office by adding a table lamp and a tray of desk accessories. Samantha advices the use of trays for easy recovery when the table is inevitably needed for dining. And aren’t those dining chairs amazing? They are actually spray lacquered garden chairs!

*

This vanity is rendered ultra feminine with pale pink accessories layered over a curvy silver mirror. Samantha suggests displaying jewelry and makeup accessories for easy access and organization. BTW I’m in love with that feather photo, isn’t it beautiful? From what I understand it’s the work of Photographer Virginia Maconald, who also shot all the beautiful images for this article. Anyone know where to get a copy?

*

Another beautiful piece of art in the living room. Even I could live with a TV in my home if it was layered into the decor like this one. And aren’t the wallpapered cabinets awesome? It adds so much more depth to this space.

Light and airy, colorful and patterned. Just wow! Be sure to check out the entire article on Style at Home, there’s a lot more pictures like these ;)
