Piano Stool Makeover

July 13, 2010 in DIY

Finally a shot of my hand-me-down piano stool, all made over. The fabric choice was inspired by Pottery Barn:

Piano stool butterfly fabric1

The butterfly fabric was a steal at a crafts store. I added nailhead trim along the edge, and picked gold since the detailing on the stool is brass. (+ I always preferred gold :-)

This is how it started out. The old fabric was all kinds of ugly.

Thanks so much for sharing such wonderful thoughts on my drapery… and on the detailing we installed on our dining room ceiling. Yep – inspired by the windows :-) It’s so fantastic that you noticed!!

  6. The bench looks amazing! I love the fabric you chose! And the nailhead detail is pretty awesome, is it difficult to do?? Well, it sure turned out fab, and best of all its a one of a kind design! Thank you for your super sweet comments on my living room, your so kind! That cabinet believe it or not was quite a steal at about 200 bux from HomeSense in Canada which is your HomeGoods in the States. It pays to pop in there every now and then!
