Chic White, Turquoise and Cerise Living room

June 28, 2010 in Chic, Hottest Designers, Living room, Modern, Pastels, Soft and Light, White

This chic living room is the work of the incredibly talented interior designer Ashley Whittaker:

modern white living room with turquoise shelf

This white living room is accented with turquoise and cerise, and totally reminds me of Dagny of Scandinavian Chic‘s living room (and blog design for that matter). I love how Ashley picked a very soft turquoise hue for the shelf and made it all pop with the cerise and contrasting black. Also, I’m loving the natural accents she placed in the shelf like crystals, seashells and corals.

We don’t get to see all the pretty colors from this angle, which almost makes it look like a different room. Of all things I’m loving the gold lamp cord.. haha! It looks so strict and clean. Also, notice the beautiful Greek key lining on the sofa skirt.

Ashley is not afraid to mix metals, as seen here with the silver tray. LOVE the purple peony bouquet, my favorite flower (which I can finally remember the name of  =)

  1. what a fabulous colour combination and i love the key detail on the sofa trim. it’s all in the details!

  2. Ooh! I have not seen this room before and I love it! The soft turquoise is stunning, and thanks for pointing out the Greek key as well, I wouldn’t have noticed it. I have the same little box as the one she has sitting by the lovely peonies!!

  3. This is such a pretty and serene room. Love the soft shades of turquoise and pink. And the greek key trim on the sofa skirt is genius!! Fantastic way to add pattern to a simple sofa without it being too bold.

    The peonies are gorgeous!!
