Color Bonanza!

May 30, 2010 in Bedroom, Bright, Color Palette, Hottest Designers, Nursery/ Kids room, Teen Bedroom

Hi guys! I’ve been super busy for the last few days, so I’m making up with some fun fresh color inspiration. These are teen rooms, and they are all designed by Charlotte, NC based interior design firm Lucy and Company. If it is color you want, check out their website!

modern chic teen bedroom gray grey purple green yellow

A gray base with pastel lilac, green and yellow is a fun and untraditional color palette for a teen girls bedroom, don’t you think? The yellow green (I refuse to spell out chartreuse. Whoops!), I prefer to call it “puke green” myself, is the popping color that pulls this room together. You can see it is used on the lamp shades and blinds as well as on the accent wall.

modern teen bedroom boy brown beige light blue striped wall

A beige teen boys bedroom with an accent wall painted in browns and baby blue stripes. This color palette is very adaptable as the boy transforms into a little man =)

modern teen bedroom pink red purple and green with flower mural

This teen girls bedroom is pink, but by no means babyish. Bright accent colors like apple green, purple, red and orange makes takes it from girls room to teen room.

modern gray orange brown bedroom

An adult bedroom can have a splash of color too, like this gray and brown accented with a lovely burnt orange. I LOOOVE the checkered accent wall in this room. So chic!

  5. Wow, such great rooms! I’m such a girl, I think if I was a kid I’d pick the pink room. But I think now if I was decorating for my own child I might use a little less pink though! Love that awesome tufted bed in that room too.

  7. Thanks for the link! The rooms are amazing and an inspiration! The wall colours and designs are gorgeous. In one room they have a headboard made with the same coloured fabric as I have – I might just have to copy! {I still want a neutral wall though – my daughter’s walls are currently apple green – maybe I’ll get all the furniture in and see}
    I will be referring to that site when I re-do my son’s room also.

    Have a great weekend!

  8. Hi! Where did you find the decals for the pink girl’s bedroom? I love, love, love them! Your work is gorgeous!

    • Hi Maria! I believe those particular wall decals were hand painted. You can visit the designers Lucy and Company through the link above and inquire about it =) Good Luck Maria! xox Linda
