Latest Obsession: Gold Flatware!
January 5, 2012 in Entertaining / Table Setting
Hi Friends! How is the new year treating you? Broken any resolutions yet? Today I want to share another one of my gold obsessions: the gold flatware! (bet you already figured that out from the post title, huh? Pretend to be surprised please ;-) And yes, I know gold flatware has been blogged and re-blogged, probably re-re-blogged too, but I just want to be part of the circle before it seals up (not true, I just couldn’t come up with anything else to post (not true, I just WANT TO post it, so let’s leave it at that)). I know, I’m very entertaining…

SITTING IN A TREE EVENTS / SARAH YATES PHOTOGRAPHY
Contrasts always = Yum! Coarse natural table cloth + luxurious polished gold flatware. That’s yum, right?
*
This brushed steel gold finish flatware is so sleek and easy on the eye, but I can’t help but think they are a bit “top heavy”. Anyone own- or have tried these? What’s the verdict?
*
Irene at Design StILes created this stunning table setting, combining the loveliness of pink, white, peach and of course gold! Love her classic gold flatware, it’s beyond elegant.
*
This gold flatware reminds me of the one we got for our wedding. Why oh why did I pick the silver variant?? Anyways, the beautiful gold dot charger plate is called Belmont, you can find a link to a shop in this post if you need it in your life ;-)
*
Gold flatware or not, that is such a cute way to fold a napkin. Bow tie anyone?!
*
ELEGANT BRIDE / LUXURY MONOGRAMS
Bold black and white stripes sets of gold flatware nicely. The wine glasses with the gold detail (on the right) are available at Z Gallerie ;-)
*
Gold is a regular guest at this dining table, notice the gold leaves mingling with the garden roses. You can click the link above for a tutorial on how to create this flower arrangement.
*
By the way, have you heard of a web shop called Luxury Monograms? If you haven’t, click the link below the photo and enjoy yourself. It’s all loveliness.
*
More golden pretties. Leopard place mat? Swoon!
*
That slim flatware is popping up everywhere. Who could forget this awe striking table setup that Adore Mag featured in their New York edition?
*
Signing off with a sweet table setting. “Milk” wine glasses? YES PLEASE!! Ah, wanting stuff you probably will never get.. It’s kind of a joy in it self, no? Like window shopping? I will spend my evening painting, hope you’ll be spending yours doing something you love too =) xox Linda

For years I have thought that cold = traditional. As you have proven, and designers have made a push to get us to re-think, this is no longer the case.
I love the way gold/brass cutlery looks with bright colours and for a tabletop this is so key.
Amazing post, thanks for the inspiration!

That first image is breathtaking! I just love it! I have some gold bamboo flatware and I adore it. I need to get another set that I can / will use more often.
Beautiful images.. thanks for sharing.

I’m lusting after the gold flatware myself! I usually wear gold jewelry these days, and housewares generally follow fashion! My dining room is black so the gold would be beautiful but then I would have to get rid of my chrome chairs and bar cart! Boo.

I love all of these options! I’ve been looking for gold flatware for a while – I need a set to match my china. I’ve been having a hard time finding the perfect set.

I also love the china pattern in the first pic – the gold and orange, do you know who makes that pattern?
Great page!

What was the make of gold cutlery in “Courtney Lambert Florals” picture and where could I purchase it?
